Meet the Maker

My journey into the world of textiles began in my grandmother's atelier. As the director of a tailoring house, she surrounded me with the hum of sewing machines, the touch of fine fabrics, and the magic of vintage buttons. I remember her nights of insomnia, which she spent embroidering — a quiet, nocturnal creativity that I carry with me today.

After 15 years working in the textile and apparel corporate world, I knew it was time to bring my mature experience in design and fabric to life. I spent the next decade running my own business crafting maxi skirts, but over time, I felt a calling to bring art directly into the home.

Living in a rented apartment where major renovations weren't possible, I discovered that a single element could completely transform an interior: a pair of curtains or handcrafted textile details. For me, creating these pieces by hand has become a form of creative meditation and a beautiful escape—a quiet space to focus on textures, slow down, and turn raw inspiration into art.

The concept behind Ecru Etudes stems from seeing how deeply small textile elements transform a home's vibe. Pieces like curtains and pillow cases aren't just decorations; they define the space, adding a layer of distinct style, originality, and individual character.Inspired by the ancient Korean Pojagi technique, traditional Japanese Boro and Sashiko, and a blend of classic and modern patchwork, I create artisanal textile home decor that fuses geometry with the warmth of handmade craft. From translucent window panels and tablecloths to cushion covers and wall art, this rich heritage allows me to breathe a beautiful second life into high-quality linen and cotton, transforming premium fabrics into unique statements for your interior. Some of my fabrics are hand-dyed or feature original prints, ensuring that every piece is an individual étude in light and texture.Delivery & ShippingAs a solo artisan, I personally hand-pack every single item to ensure it arrives safely.
